Customer Support Representative

Role Description(s)
The purpose of the Customer Support Representative is to serve customers by providing information and support that meets customer needs or solves a problem. Achieves maximum satisfaction with value added post-sale efforts.

Customer Support Representative I
The Customer Support Representative is directly responsible for answering and dispositioning all customer technical inquiries and returns on a daily basis. The Customer Support Representative will determine whether to repair or replace returned product or determine further action.

Key Tasks
  - Process service orders; receive and log all incoming product for service following established guidelines.
  - Assists customers in product selection, operation and applications Guides the customer in the installation process.
  - Updates knowledge of their own products and the products of their competitors.
  - Provides appropriate documentation as needed to customers.

Measurables – Customer Support Representative I
  - Calls are answered or returned within 24 hours.
  - Email is answered or returned within 48 hours.
  - Customer contacts are updated and the date(s) of updates noted in the Event Log.
  - Call logs are regularly maintained and turned into the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Education or Prior Experience
  - Must have 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service environment with knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
  - Primary job functions do not require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Customer Support Representative II
The Customer Support Representative II is directly responsible for answering and dispositioning all customer technical inquiries and returns on a daily basis. This position is required to troubleshoot and diagnose product returned by both retailers and consumers. The Customer Support Representative will determine whether to repair or replace returned product or determine further action.

Key Tasks – Customer Service Representative II
  - All tasks listed in Customer Service Representative I.
  - Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  - Establishes customers' needs, explains and demonstrates products to them.
  - Reports to management on service issues and provides feedback on the strengths or weaknesses of new or established products.
  - Responds to all support email, regular mail or requests from social media of a technical nature.
  - Ensures that all customer requests have been met, that testing has been done according to established processes and procedures.
  - Monitoring the service technician’s repair times and success rates.

Measurables – Customer Support Representative II
  - Calls are answered or returned within 24 hours.
  - Email is answered or returned within 24 hours.
  - Customer contacts are updated and the date(s) of updates noted in the Event Log.
  - Service returns are tracked and categorized.
  - Repairs are returned or repaired in 10 working days or less.

Education or Prior Experience – Customer Service Representative II
  - Must possess all skills defined under the job description(s) for Customer Service Representative I.
  - Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service environment.

Customer Support Representative III
The Customer Support Representative III is directly responsible for answering and dispositioning all customer technical inquiries and returns on a daily basis. This position is required to troubleshoot and diagnose product returned by both retailers and consumers. The Customer Support Representative will determine whether to repair or replace returned product or determine further action. The Customer Support Representative III is also responsible for the tracking of repetitive service issues, providing data and analysis to management, engineering and production to drive product improvement.


Key Tasks – Customer Service Representative III
  - All tasks listed in Customer Support Representative I and II.
  - Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating repair and service history, customer comments and suggestions.
  - Evaluation of practices with suggestions for how to streamline and increase effectiveness of the department with quarterly reports to management.
  - Following the guidelines set forth in the service budget.

Measurables – Customer Support Representative III
  - Calls are answered or returned within 24 hours.
  - Email is answered or returned within 24 hours.
  - Customer contacts are updated and the date(s) of updates noted in the Event Log.
  - Service returns are tracked and categorized. Repairs are returned or repaired in 10 working days or less.
  - Develop annual plan(s) to increase Customer Satisfaction each year.
  - Provide an annual Cost-of-Service report to track warranty vs. non-warranty costs.

Education or Prior Experience – Customer Service Representative III
  - Must possess all skills defined under the job description(s) for Customer Service Representative II.
  - Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a customer service environment.

Production Assembler - SoundTraxx

Summary
We have an immediate opening for an Assembler in our production department at our manufacturing facility in Durango, Colorado. This position requires excellent manual dexterity, and good or correctable eyesight. This position offers an opportunity for entry into a new career. Applicant must be local.

Assembly positions receive daily instruction from the Production Team Leader with goal of assembling and testing SoundTraxx products, ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering world-class products.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be a hands-on individual who possesses a high level of drive, energy and integrity. Assembly experience and/or soldering is a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Experience handling small objects in a similar environment or with a detail-oriented hobby is desirable. Any electronics, machine operation, or technical troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Core Responsibilities
The primary goal of this position is to assemble and test SoundTraxx products for sales to both aftermarket and OEM customers, ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering world-class products.

Duties of this position will include:

Embedded Systems Engineer

Summary
As our Embedded Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, test and document new software, firmware and hardware systems for SoundTraxx products. Our products are multi-faceted and you will get to work in the areas digital audio processing, motor control and data communications. You will also support, maintain and improve existing designs. In addition to product development with an emphasis on design-for-manufacturability, you will provide engineering support to the production floor. Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will help drive product innovation and become an instrumental member of our team as we continue to grow our business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 2-5 years of Embedded Systems Engineering experience,
  • Must have a proven track record of designing products built in a medium volume manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work onsite in our new facility in Durango, CO. We are very open to candidates willing to relocate to Durango.
  • US Citizen or permanent US status required. No student or work visas.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Participate in collecting, developing and analyzing design requirements.
  • Analyze problems in design, recommend and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Design, document and test hardware from the component level up with a focus on design-for-manufacturability.
  • Develop code, test and debug to meet system requirements. Analyze and enhance the efficiency and stability of system resources.
  • Provide input to project planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking.
  • Create test protocols and end-of-line test requirements, perform design validation testing and participate in external testing for EMC and ESD compliance. Collect data and prepare reports.
  • Champion all documentation: time, cost and resource estimates, issue or respond to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), update Source Control Documents (SCDs), update processes, and maintain other Engineering documentation.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer and provide technical support and recommendations to enhance production and quality control.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with development and troubleshooting of both hardware and software for embedded targets.
  • Experience designing and creating requirement specifications, test plans and protocols.
  • Must have experience with analog circuit design, digital hardware design, PCB layout (Altium a plus) and single-chip micro-controllers.
  • Solid programming experience using structured software design with C or C++.
  • Experience ensuring software quality, participating in code reviews, working with coding standards.
  • Familiar with configuration management, defect tracking, and version control tools.
  • Working knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of digital signal algorithm development is desired.
  • Experience with sound recording and editing is helpful.
